I am a self-employed designer for fashion accessories and a teacher at AMD design school in Munich/Germany.
My accessories have been written about and presented in various high-profile magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Gala, Brigitte, Jolie. They have also been featured in European-wide TV channel Arte´s fashion shows.
My pieces are being sold in select stores all over Europe. Karen Weidner Accessories started in 2003.
I have also worked as a (freelance) designer for Escada, Hallhuber, Artis, Nur Die, Karin Fraidenraij Fairtrade Knitwear and Hecking Accessories.
At AMD design school in Munich I teach classes in fashion design, collection development, pattern development, visual communication (layout, typo, colors), fashion history and more. I am interested in trend research, color charts, fabric and material research.
I graduated in fashion design at Esmod Munich in 1998.
Having studied in Louisiana and California, I am fluent in written and spoken English. I am well-versed in using Adobe Illustrator.
